ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE A SAVIOR DURING COVID19?

                              

Covid-19 a dreadthfull virus knocked on the doors of the world in late November in Wuhan(China). With the world shifting around the clock and each nation and industry planning for the new year this pandemic stopped all by technologies looking faster and expected transformations.

Not only did this pandemic made understand man that none is stronger and mightier than nature, but the man tried to hold the belts in hand with his intelligence and the strength of A.I.

A.I played a major role in tackling this hectic and eye-popping situation faced by a man. It needed a technology that could recognize it on time and help to innovate the cure, the frequency with which this virus reached cities, towns, and countries was devastating.

A.I has changed and enhanced the lifestyle, a basic technology designed to solve simpler problems such as winning a chess game, recognition of language, image retrieval, and others. With technical advances, AI is becoming increasingly sophisticated in doing what humans do but in solving complex problems more effectively, easily, and at a lower cost.

For limited purposes for what it was introduced such as scan, job documentation, appointment fixing to minimize the workload, A.I was slowly and steadily implemented in healthcare and now by the success it helps us battle the giant monster Covid-19.

Early warning and alerting, prediction and identification of disease outbreaks, real-time disease tracking worldwide, analysis and visualization of spreading patterns, prediction of infection rate and infection trend, quick decision-making to find successful drugs, research, and analysis of pathogens, drug development and morning are the various and varied roles performed by AI during the pandemic. All of these are applied with AI at a faster speed. 

A.I played this pandemic, which literally shows it to be a savior, in some simple roles:

1.Early Detection and X-Ray

A.I  gave a pace of identification of the virus in the human body, with a greater risk to life when the virus was later detected. An AI diagnostic tool is used in Wuhan, China, to differentiate COVID-19 within seconds from other forms of pneumonia by examining chest CT scan images of patients. In collaboration with Chest X-rays, Artificial Intelligence helps to detect irregular findings, thus diagnosing ground glass opacities in the lungs, a classic characteristic of COVID-19 disease. One of the first to lift the alarm about a worrisome outbreak of a respiratory disease in Wuhan, China, was BlueDot, a Canadian start-up and AWS client who uses AI to identify disease outbreaks. In detecting disease outbreaks, BlueDot uses AI.

2.Understand the Spread

In early December 2019, the world was dealing with the Corona Virus, an epidemic in China that ravaged the world in months and grabbed it completely by March 2020. The spread was a thunderstorm for the human mind, aided in this by the A.I review. In order to serve as an early warning system for possible pandemics and to classify vulnerable populations, it helped to evaluate huge data volumes to predict the spread of COVID-19. The findings projected that the distribution of the population will only be the aid to overpower coronavirus. This was when the entire lockdown of nations was decided.

3.The Patients Monitor

Apple and Google, the two major tech giants, came together in April to create a contact-based software to monitor patients with COVID-19.

The software runs on Bluetooth and has been used mainly in western countries. In India, through the creation of the AarogyaSetu app, the government ruled out a similar strategy.

4.Mask Monitoring Violators

In addition to providing an AarogyaSetu masterpiece app, AI was helpful in identifying people who are mask violators in many states of the nation with the aid of AI cameras for contact tracing. It sends a notification to the police headquarters after the discovery, which in turn sends the update to the patrolling police team to capture the culprits. This method strengthened the pandemic's sincerity and allowed the government and other sectors to take a safe next step to work. This model is similar to the AI model for the monitoring of mask violators developed by China. Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda initially installed this kind of AI technology.

5.Investigation and Treatment for Fueling

Healthcare providers and researchers are facing an increasingly growing amount of COVID-19 knowledge, making it difficult to draw insights that can inform therapy. AI has allowed manual repurposing of drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 during the progression of the coronavirus. In addition, AI has proven successful in offering online consultation with health experts on a specific disease for tele-medicines and teleconsultation services. AI is proven to be a success in many states, such as Chhattisgarh, through online training of medics to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. Robots are used in Kerala to distribute hand sanitizers and to deliver public health messages to fight COVID-19 at the entrance of office buildings and isolation wards.

With the power of A.I and the mind of humans, we still hope and seek cures for the corona virus by 2021. No wonder A.I was a savior and is still fighting a human war. Once again the near future and character A.I played this pandemic raised the demand for A.I experts and people with brilliant minds to make the best out of it.
